In 2022, the university’s promotion and tenure guidelines broadened to recognize and support community and public engagement contributions in research, teaching, and service. IHSI offers a variety of resources and programming for researchers across campus interested in, or already pursuing, community-engaged scholarship.
Community-Engaged Research Series
Hosted by the Center for Social and Behavioral Science, College of Education, and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute, the Community-Engaged Research Series aims to build and enhance the experience of community-engaged researchers at Illinois, and provide these researchers with the skills and resources needed to impact research in this space.
Doughnuts & Dialogue
The Center for Social & Behavioral Science, College of Education, and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute invite community-engaged researchers to network over coffee and doughnuts May 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Siebel Center for Design East Terrace. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Starlight Room.
